Family accounts

Coach the athlete. Keep the parent in the loop.

Each child gets their own program, while their parent sees the schedule, signs the waiver, and pays from their own app. At 18, the athlete can take over with one tap.

How it works

The child trains with you. The parent runs the account.

A family is one parent account with a child under it for each kid. You coach each child as a client, and the admin goes to the parent.

1

The parent signs up for their child.

They answer “Who is this for?” with My child, enter your code, add each child’s name and birthday, and confirm consent. You can set the athlete up first, with an age band, and share the code from their Family card.

2

Each child is your client.

To you, a child is a client with their own program, sessions, and balance, tagged with their age. Their profile says who manages them, and billing and contact go to the parent.

3

The parent decides what the child does alone.

Six switches for what the child can do alone, spending limits, and a Needs you queue for anything waiting on their OK. By default a child can message you, and the rest goes through the parent.

Who it helps

Everyone gets the part they need.

For you

Coach the kid. Let the app handle the parent admin.

No more chasing a parent’s number for a waiver or a payment. The account knows who pays and who signs.

  • Children tagged by age on your client list
  • Billing and contact routed to the parent
  • Waivers signed by the parent, recorded as theirs

For the parent

One app for every kid’s training.

They see what is on, what it costs, and how it is going, without texting you to ask.

  • A Family today card and a family calendar filter
  • Session requests and class bookings for each child
  • A view of each child’s program and progress
  • Their own conversation with each child’s coach

For the athlete

A plan of their own that grows up with them.

Their training history starts the day they join and never has to move accounts.

  • Their own program, with or without a login
  • From 13, their own login, managed by their parent
  • At 18, one tap to take over their account

Part of the whole system

The family is built into bookings, money, and messages.

Every part of Raelan knows who the athlete is and who is responsible for them, so the right person gets asked, charged, and told.

Why we’re different

Made for families, from the first sign-up to 18.

Waivers are paper, signed by whoever is at pickup.
The parent taps Sign for the child, and it is recorded as signed by them.
Siblings mean separate accounts and separate payments.

Turning 18 means starting over on a new account.
The athlete takes over the same account, history included, when they are ready.

Questions

How does a parent set up their child?

In the app they answer “Who is this for?” with My child, enter the code you gave them, and add each child’s name and birthday. If you already built the athlete’s account, the parent is linked to it at the end. More children join the same parent account.

Should the parent choose My child or Myself?

My child. Myself is for someone training themselves. A parent using your code for their kid should always pick My child, so the account is set up with them in charge.

Does a child need their own login?

No. A child under 13 never has a login; their parent runs the account. From 13, an athlete can have their own login, shown as managed by their parent.

What happens when an athlete turns 18?

Both of them are told. The athlete can tap Take control of my account at any time, and the parent can hand over control, share it, or keep managing with the athlete’s agreement.

Who pays?

The parent. They add funds by card, then fund each child’s balance, and each child’s sessions are paid from their own balance. A 13 to 17-year-old with no linked parent cannot add money on their own.

Can the parent read my messages with their child?

No. The parent has their own conversation with you and with their child. Your messages with the athlete stay between the two of you.
