Notebook

Every client feels remembered.

A shared notebook on each client and a note on every training day, written by you and your client, and open in the middle of a session.

Saves as you type · Hide any tab from your client · Free

Mid-workout: a new line, then a linked exercise that opens its demo and cues.

How it works

What they told you, right where you need it.

Raelan keeps two kinds of notes. Both are shared with your client unless you say otherwise.

1

One notebook per client, in tabs you name.

It is the first card on their profile. Start with Notes, then add tabs for injuries, goals, or whatever you track, and rename them as you go. Your client reads and writes in the same notebook from their app.

2

A note that repeats with the training day.

Write the intent and cues for a day like Upper Body once. The note follows that day every week, so your client sees it each time the day comes round, and adds how it went or a question for you.

3

Open it without leaving the workout.

The notebook button sits in the workout header from the moment you open it, with last session’s note beside it. Link an exercise inside a note and one tap opens its demo and cues.

Who it helps

Caught up for you. Clear for them.

For you

Walk into every session already caught up.

No scrolling back through texts to remember what their knee did last week. It is on the profile and in the workout.

  • Last session’s note shows as you start
  • Hide a tab to keep a thought on your side
  • Saves as you type, and tells you when it has

For your client

Nothing gets lost between sessions.

They read your cues before they train alone, write down how it felt, and bring questions to you in the same place.

  • Linked exercises open their demo and cues
  • Their own tabs and notes, next to yours
  • Readable any day, not only on session day

For parents

Parents see what their kid is working on.

On a family account, a parent reads their child’s notebook without being able to change it, so everyone works from the same plan.

  • A read-only view in the parent’s own app
  • Tabs you hide stay hidden from them too

Part of the whole system

Tied to the training, not stuck in a notes app.

A note in Raelan belongs to a client or to a training day, and can link straight to an exercise. That is what makes it show up at the right moment.

Why we’re different

Notes both of you actually use.

Usually
On Raelan
Notes live in your phone’s notes app, one file per client, if you remember to open it.
The notebook is the first thing on the client’s profile and one tap away in every workout.
Your client never sees your cues, so you repeat them every week.
The day note repeats with the day, and your client reads it before they start.
Private thoughts and shared notes end up in the same place.
Hide a tab and your client cannot read, edit, or unhide it. Hiding never deletes.
“Watch the video I sent you” means digging through a text thread.
Link the exercise in the note. One tap opens its demo and cues.
Their feedback arrives as a text you copy somewhere else.
They write it in the same note. If you both changed a tab, both versions are kept.

Questions

Can my client see what I write?

Yes, by default. The notebook is shared, so your client reads and writes in it from their app. To keep something to yourself, long-press a tab and choose Hide from client.

What happens when I hide a tab?

Your client can no longer read or edit it, and they cannot unhide it. Nothing is deleted: choose Show to client and it comes back.

What is the difference between the notebook and a day note?

The notebook belongs to the client and holds everything you carry between sessions. A day note belongs to one training day in their program and repeats with it every week, so the cues for that day are always in front of them.

Does it save as I type?

Yes. It saves a moment after you stop typing, shows Saving then Saved, and saves again when you tap Done.

Can a parent read their child’s notebook?

Yes. On a family account, the parent sees a read-only copy of their child’s notebook.

If my client trains with another coach too, do they see my notebook?

No. A client’s notebook sits with the coach who started it, so another coach on the same client does not read or write your notes.
